Bartholomäus Traubeck, for his latest album
Years, placed cross-sections of trees on a modified record player. The data of the rings was captured through a camera and sent into a computer, which output it as the sound of a piano. The result is haunting and beautiful.
Just another example of how you can draw inspiration from anywhere! The greatest ideas can come from the unlikeliest places...
